Privacy policy
This is the privacy policy for NailUP, published by Reinless Studio — listed as NailUP: Nail Art & Designs on Google Play and NailUP: Nail Art & Designs on the App Store. It is written to say plainly what the app does with your data, and it matches, line for line, what both store listings declare.

You can use most of it signed out
Designing in the nail editor, browsing inspiration, saving favourites and — with a subscription — Design AI all work without an account. You only sign in, with Google or with Apple, to post to the community feed, comment, like or report. The account items below apply from that point on; the Design AI and subscription items apply either way.
What we collect
- Your account When you sign in with Apple or Google we keep the account identifier they give us, a username (suggested from the name you share at first sign-in; you can change it) and an avatar emoji. We never receive your password, and we do not store your email address.
- What you post The photo and caption of anything you share to the community feed, your comments, which posts you liked or saved, and any post you report or user you block.
- Design AI requests The description, colour palettes and nail shape you pick are sent to our server, which asks Google Gemini to draw the design. We store neither the request nor the image — the result is saved only on your phone. iPhone versions up to 1.1 send the same request to Gemini through AIProxy instead.
- Your subscription Whether you have an active subscription and which plan, handled for us by RevenueCat under a random ID it creates on your device. Our server checks that ID with RevenueCat before running Design AI and, when you are not signed in, counts your daily designs with it. Card details go to Google Play or the App Store and never reach us.
- A push token, only if you ask for notifications On iPhone, turning on alerts for likes and comments gives us the push token Apple issues for that device. It is used for nothing but delivering those notifications and is deleted with your account. The Android app registers no push token.
What we never collect
The app does not ask for, and our servers never receive:
- your email address
- your location
- your contacts, calendar, photo library or browsing history — the app only receives the single photo you choose to post
- an advertising ID — the app shows no ads and contains no ad SDK
- analytics or crash-reporting data — the app carries no analytics or crash-reporting SDK
- any device fingerprint or cross-app tracking identifier
Who else touches it
We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone to use for their own purposes. A handful of companies process it strictly on our behalf, only to make a feature work:
- Hetzner — hosts our servers
- Cloudflare R2 — stores the photos you post
- Amazon Rekognition — checks a posted photo before it appears in the feed
- Google Gemini — draws Design AI images from your description
- AIProxy — relays Design AI requests from iPhone versions up to 1.1 to Gemini
- RevenueCat — keeps track of subscription status
- Google Play and the App Store — process payments
How it is protected
Every request between the app and our servers goes over HTTPS, and the Android app additionally pins the certificate authority so a tampered connection is refused. Photos are uploaded straight to storage over signed HTTPS links. Posted photos are screened automatically before they can appear in the feed, and anyone can report a post or block another user from inside the app.
Deleting everything
You can delete your account and everything attached to it from the app itself, with no email and no waiting period. The steps, and the full list of what goes and what stays, are on the delete your account page.
Children
NailUP carries an open community feed and is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the updated date above changes with it. Questions, or a request about your data, go to contact@nailartdesign.app — a person answers.
